Infantil School Education

A Gentle Beginning at Lumina Academy
At Lumina, our early years programme offers a warm, nurturing, and home-like environment where young children feel safe, seen, and supported.
We focus on building strong foundations through movement, rhythm, imagination, and sensory experience, allowing each child to develop naturally at their own pace
INFANTIL (Ages 3-6)

Children learn best through play. Our days are filled with free play, movement, and exploration, supporting coordination, balance, and early brain development.
Activities such as climbing, running, and crossing the midline help prepare the body for focus, writing, and reading later on.
Learning Through Play & Movement

Young children express themselves through art, storytelling, music, and imaginative play.
We provide open-ended materials and gentle guidance, allowing creativity to unfold naturally without pressure or expectation.
Creative Expression & Imagination

Children engage in simple, meaningful tasks such as baking, cleaning, gardening, and handwork.
These activities build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging, while developing fine motor skills.
Hands-on Work & Practical Life

Language is introduced naturally through songs, stories, rhythm, and daily interaction in English and Spanish.
Children absorb language in a relaxed, stress-free way — just as they would in a family environment.
Gentle Bilingual Immersion

Outdoor time is an essential part of each day. Children connect with nature through gardening, seasonal changes, and open-air play.
Connection to Nature

Children participate in gardening, sustainability projects, and practical activities, connecting learning to real life.

Our Goals for Early Childhood
At Lumina, our goal is not early academics, but to build the strong foundations children need for lifelong learning

Emotional Security & Confidence
To help children feel safe, seen, and valued, building trust in themselves and in others

Healthy Physical & Brain Development
Through movement, play, and sensory experiences, we support the development of coordination, balance, and focus, preparing the brain for future learning

Imagination & Creativity
To nurture a rich inner world through storytelling, open-ended play, and artistic expression, which are essential for problem-solving and innovation later in life.

Fine Motor Skills & Readiness for Learning
Through activities like drawing, handwork, and practical tasks, children develop the skills needed for writing and academic work in a natural way.

Language & Communication
To support natural language development in both English and Spanish, through songs, stories, and daily interaction

Social Skills & Relationships
To help children learn how to share, cooperate, resolve conflicts, and build meaningful friendships.
